Healthy Apple Cinnamon Oat Bars for Snack Time

Ingredients

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup diced apples
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup honey (or maple syrup)
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of rolled oats, 1 cup of diced apples, and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together 1/2 cup of honey (or maple syrup), 1/4 cup of unsweetened applesauce, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture and stir until well combined.
  5. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and press it down evenly using a spatula.
